Systems Thinking: workshop

systematize experience, increase the complexity of tasks to be solved, and form the skill of quick training in new practices
It is quite difficult to give a universal and easy to understand explanation of systems thinking to anyone. Everyone has its own way to apply the results of this fundamental knowledge. But one of the main consequences of mastering the systems thinking, what our graduates talk about, is the emergence of self-confidence. In work or life situations, the confusing picture becomes more understandable. You understand that, unlike many others, you are able to work with complexity, and you are also able to learn new things faster than others. At the end of the workshop, you can feel this confidence.
I am Tseren Tserenov, the instructor of the workshop, will help you make a breakthrough into a difficult, but very productive, systems thinking world. I have studied the main difficulties and mistakes of our students' thinking process while they were mastering the modern systems approach. This was possible due to the implementation of 25 graduating classes of the Fundamental course "Systems Approach in Management and Engineering", training seminars for 14 graduating classes of the course "Systems Management and Strategy", individual mentoring and consulting. Therefore, I created a workshop based on the following principles:
Duration of the course - 3 months
The duration and regularity of classes will gradually consolidate new thinking moves inside the brain. The workshop is divided into lectures that take place during weekdays evenings and workshop hours on the weekends. At workshop we analyze the homework and the difficulties encountered (there will be as much time as necessary).
Personal time-management
Adjusting your daily schedule and scheduling time for independent work (if you do not do your homework - additional working off on the weekends or quitting workshop) and reading books. This will allow you to approach your own learning systematically and responsibly.
Work Products Development
Continuous development of work products (documents) by yourself and/or in a team. This activity will confirm the development of the declared competencies. This will allow you to have "hands on" experience during the entire 12 weeks, by loading the brain fully.
This workshop is for those who
has motivation for systems changes in their professional career, as well as:
wants to get acquainted with modern systems thinking under the guidance of an instructor and in a comfortable time mode
took the "Systems Thinking" course at Coursera or read Anatoly Levenchuk's books on systems thinking, but still feels that "there is something missing form the puzzle"
wants to systematize the experience, expand their horizons and understand how to integrate into any complex activity.
Requirements for the participants of the workshop:
The existence of a complex or unsolvable problem in professional field
Desire to learn, reinforced by the opportunity to devote at least 10 hours a week for an independent work
No requirements for the job position, profession and field of activity
What you will gain from the workshop
In addition to the confidence in your professional competencies and the ability to quickly learn new things
Ability to write a systems description
of your activity or a specific project in the form of an essay. An essay is written individually or as part of a team.
The ability to lay out on systems levels
your personal activity and interests, as well as draw up the appropriate diagram in the Product-studio modeler, which will allow you to notice the activities of other people and highlight priorities in your work.
Ability to create work products:
draft personal resume; meeting minutes; posts on various topics of systems thinking; list of interests and stakeholder roles; abstracts, diagrams and posts on read business books; list of jobs and checklists in Trello.
In case you are not satisfied with the result, we guarantee a refund.
